POVERTY IN WORLD

Global poverty is one of the main problems facing the people of the world today. The world's poorest people are often malnourished and unable to meet basic needs such as drinking water and food. They also have less access to education and suffer from poor health. Children not getting proper nutrition slows down their growth rate and also leads to unnecessary deaths.

According to the World Bank, about 9.2% of the world, or 719 million people, live on less than $2.15 a day.In the United States, 11.6% of the population - 37.9 million people - lived in poverty as of 2021.These numbersare calculated based on income and a person's ability to meet basic needs. However, when looking beyond income to people experiencing deprivations in health, education, and living standards, 1.2 billion people in 111 developing countries are multidimensionally poor, according to a 2022 .

Poverty can be an inescapable trap, and it can be a cycle for generations. In order to break it, we need to find solutions to its root causes, including economic inequality.People can be equipped to identify the causes of poverty and change them. Recognizing the complex nature of poverty, solutions can be focused on nutritious food, clean water, health services, quality education, economic empowerment, gender equality etc..
