           At present, urbanization can be mentioned as a much discussed unit, especially in terms of time and space, urbanization has become a geologically significant factor.This process, which was limited to the developed region in the early period, has now spread to the whole world.Urbanization began to develop during the period, but later due to the integration of the rural community into the city in the developing countries, urbanization began to occur in those areas as well.

         By 1800 AD, only 3% lived in urban areas.It became 37.2% by 1970 and 41.2% by 1980. It was recorded as 45.2% in 1991 and 50% of the total world population lived in cities in 2008. Currently, 54% live in urban areas.It is estimated that by 2050, the total urbanization percentage will be 66%.

         Urbanization is a continuous process. Urbanization was formed as a result of a large number of people gathering for permanent residence in areas with relatively economic and service facilities.
